Button Gift Toppers

Do you have some old buttons lying about? Hot glue them onto wrapped gifts to add an extra decorative touch. You can also add those buttons to gift tags to match the present.

Christmas Tree Yarn Gift Topper

Make a more festive rectangular-shaped box wrapped in kraft paper with some green and red yarn. Hot glue a strand of green yarn on the top centre of the box to stick the start of the yarn down. Make another dot of hot glue on the bottom right corner, continue the string of yarn down, and stick the yarn down and cut. Repeat until the yarn makes a tree shape and is as full as you want. Then cut out a length of red yarn and feed it through the green strands to look like a garland.

Cardboard Box Snowman

Some gifts come in multiples, especially during Christmas time. This cardboard box snowman is made of three wrapped boxes and is perfect for multiple gifts. All you need is white wrapping paper, black kraft paper, orange kraft paper, red and green buttons, three gift boxes, and a festive ribbon. You will want the bottom box to be long and rectangular, the middle box to be shorter but a rectangle and the top box to be bigger and square. Wrap the three boxes in wrapping paper after placing your gifts inside of them, and glue them together. Cut out the eyes and teeth using black kraft paper and the carrot nose from orange kraft paper. Glue the buttons to the middle and bottom boxes and add the festive bow between the top and middlebox.

Berry and Holly Bows

A small way to make a gift much more festive is to attach fake berries and holly to the ribbons. Spray some pine-scented oil on top, and you will have the perfect holiday gift wrap.

Recyclable Holiday Bags

This eco-friendly wrapping idea is both festive and saves your wallet. Use unique holiday print shopping bags from various stores for your gift. Add some strings and tags to finish your wrapping as a simple way to add a personal touch.

Stick on Letters

Letter stickers or glued letter magnets are an easy way to add holiday phrases to plain wrapping paper or a gift box. Another money-saving festive way to do this is using old game pieces from scrabble or another board game you have lying about.

Gift Wrap for the Pup

Our furry family members deserve a Christmas gift or two as well. Add a dog bone to the ribbon on top when wrapping said gift. This will have them just as excited to rip open the box as they are about the toy inside.

Ornament Add-on

One way to quickly elevate a simple bow is to add an ornament on top. You can choose whatever ornament you like, from one that matches your Christmas aesthetic to one that has memories attached.
