Please bear with us as we are in the process of opening our new fibreglass store on the northside of Cork city.
We are very proud to be associated with Tricel especially as Tricel originally were started in Killarney, Co. Kerry, in the 70's by Anne & Con Stack. From their beginnings as a small fibreglass company, Tricel is today a family led globalprovider of high-performance, innovation-based solutions for the Water,Environmental, Construction and Distribution industries. Apart from Ireland they have 8 or 9 branches in the UK, a few in France and Belgium etc. Con is still with us but the company is now fronted by his son Mike.Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Can you lay Fibreglass in wet or damp weather?
A: Normally it is fitted only to bone dry surfaces. However with HPX we can use this on most surfaces, and most weather conditions. - Q: What is the difference between Fibreglass and Grp?
A: GRP (glass reinforced polyester) is the technical name for what is commonly known as ‘fibreglass’. Originally developed in 1938 for use in insulation, GRP is extremely durable and today is used in a variety of applications across a number of industries. Also known as FRP (fibre reinforced polymer) GRP is extremely versatile, strong and waterproof, making GRP the ideal solution for applications such as roofing systems. The ability to produce different finishes such as nonslip surfaces using GRP, in addition to being able to produce unlimited range of colour options for applications of almost any complexity, means that GRP is now a popular and viable alternative to traditional roofing systems used previously. - Q: I want to install a GRP/Fibreglass roof. How do I do it?
