Adults typically take 15-45ml daily, while children aged 7-14 years take 15ml daily, children aged 1-6 years take 5-10ml daily, and infants under 1 year up to 5ml daily (only if prescribed). The dose may be taken once daily, for example during breakfast, or divided up to three doses a day. This medication can also be used to treat hepatic encephalopathy, a liver related condition. Always follow the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. The solution is typically taken with water, fruit juice, or milk if desired.
