Piriton 4mg Tablets offer relief from the bothersome symptoms of hayfever and other allergies and can also help with the itchy rash of chickenpox. The active ingredient in each tablet is chlorphenamine maleate, an antihistamine designed to alleviate a range of allergic reactions. This product is presented in a box containing 30 tablets. The tablets are indicated for the relief of hayfever, insect bites, skin allergies, and food allergies. These tablets provide effective relief from the itchiness, redness, swelling, tenderness and irritation. Individuals aged 12 and over can take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum of 6 tablets in a 24-hour period. Elderly individuals should consult a doctor before taking the medication to determine the appropriate dose. Children aged 6 to 12 years can take half a tablet every 4 to 6 hours not exceeding a total of six half tablets within 24 hours. This product should not be used for children under the age of 6. Always read the patient information leaflet before using this product. Piriton can aid restful sleep when symptoms are troublesome at night. The product contains 4mg of chlorphenamine maleate per tablet. It is important to note that this product may cause drowsiness and blurred vision. The product is manufactured by GSK.
