A great ground cover for shady areas, slowly spreading from its main thick rhizome. Its large, deeply lobed green leaves are carried on long stems reaching up to 40cm height. In April to May white, star-shaped flowers, held in clusters, appear above the leaves. The leaves turn a brilliant red in late summer. This plant likes a humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil in partial shade.
