Named after a bold, spirited character, Dorothy Jean is built around sweet honeysuckle, described by Zingari Man as having plenty of sass and moxie. It is a lighter, more playful scent than some of the brand's other releases, with a floral sweetness that never tips over into cloying. As with the rest of the range, Dorothy Jean sits on Zingari Man's Sego tallow base, a formula wet shavers rate highly for its slickness, cushion and the way it leaves skin feeling after the last pass. Goat milk and shea butter feature alongside the tallow to help nourish the skin through the shave. It is a soap with genuine personality, suited to shavers who want their morning routine to feel a bit more fun without sacrificing performance. Wet a shaving brush and load it directly from the tin, then work up a rich, creamy lather either in a bowl or on the face. The honeysuckle top notes come through best with a well hydrated lather, so do not be shy adding a little extra water as you build it up. Shave with the grain on the first pass, re-lather, then go against the grain for an ultra-close finish. Rinse with cold water to close the pores.
