A painting of O'Connell Bridge and the old Nationwide Building, looking north down O'Connell Street towards the Spire. The street is busy with traffic and people under umbrellas heading to and fro. A bluish colour palette helps convey the rainy atmosphere. Sometimes my interest is piqued and I like to research some of my painting subjects, especially Dublin street scenes and pubs and bars and am often amazed at some of the snippets of curious information I come across.
