Copertino is a DOC appellation in Salento, Puglia — the heel of Italy's boot — where Negroamaro and its blending partners produce wines of real depth and southern Italian character. The Apollonio family has been producing wine in Puglia for generations, championing the region's indigenous varieties and crafting wines that showcase the warmth and generosity of the south.About This WineAn award-winning Copertino from Apollonio — a rich, full-flavoured red with the intense fruit and earthy sweetness that defines the best of Puglia. Intense ruby red, with cherry, plum, and chocolate on the nose, and a lush, meaty palate with loads of black fruit and well-integrated tannins.
