Quinta do Vallado, established in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous estates in the Douro Valley. It is located on the banks of the Corgo River, a tributary of the Douro River, right next to its mouth and close to the town of Peso da Régua. It belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and remains to this day in the hands of her descendants.
This wine comes from two vineyards: 50% from an old Moscatel vine that is over 30 years old and 50% from a vine planted in the mid-1990s. A technique called skin maceration (pre-fermentation contact of the skins with the liquid) was used in the vinification. The grapes were vinified using an open spout system. Fermentation lasted approximately 1 month at a controlled temperature between 14º and 16º C. The wine aged for 3 months in stainless steel vats.
TASTING NOTESIntense aroma, with a mineral character in balance with floral notes of roses and violets in harmony with aromas of tangerine and grapefruit peel. Acidity and freshness with fruit dominate the palate, very long and creamy with very fresh acidity.

Description:Inspired by France's myriad of regional flavour festivals, Fête des Flaveurs celebrates the distinctive medley of local flavours that have propelled French cuisine to fame. Take your taste buds on a journey of discovery, and savour the delicacy and individuality of each region.
White Picpoul regained its former glory in the 1920s, during the first gathering of white producers from Pinet. Producers from Pinet and neighboring towns then bet on this native grape variety and replanted it.
Tasting Note:Fete des Flavours Picpoul de Pinet is a crisp, dry white wine with a pale yellow color and bright hues. It exhibits aromas of fresh fruit and citrus, especially grapefruit, with a harmonious balance and varietal expression. The wine's palate is described as lively and fresh, with flavors of grapefruit, lime, peach, and melon, and a finish that is moderately balanced with citrus and acidity.
