Description:Prosecco is a sparkling wine that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is fruity with mostly apple and pear-ish flavours. One of the keenest differences is the nose. Prosecco has a sweet scent whereas champagne can sometimes smell yeasty and have somewhat yeasty or toasty flavours. Prosecco has a lightness that separates it from champagne as well, making it perfect as an aperitif, or for, as it became famous at Harry’s Bar in Italy, blending in cocktails with complementary fruits, such as peaches in the Bellini. The most distinct difference, however, is the price tag, and that has a lot to do with the process in making Prosecco.
Tasting Note:The wine pours a bright straw yellow colour, with some greenish hints; the nose is pleasant and fruity, with good intensity. It has a fresh flavour, and to the palate is pleasant and harmonious.

Description:
Château Grand Lys is an old mansion dating from 1805 surrounded by vines. This family property finds itself in the middle of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, and the vineyard was planted there in 1881. Philippe Perron, the current owner, bought the estate in 1986. Vineyard & location: 25 hectares of vines are planted at the estate, which runs along the ridge of a hillside. Half-way between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers in the village of Cleyrac, it is close to the fortified town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, which is steeped in mediaeval history.
Harvest, vinification & ageing: Traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques are used at Grand Lys, with the added benefit of modern technology and knowledge. The wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months before being bottled.
Tasting: The wine is a deep garnet colour. The nose shows fresh fruit notes that intermingle with a hint of vanilla. The wine is dense in the mouth, round, and shows great length.
