Country: France Region: Margaux, Bordeaux Varietal: Merlot 38% - Cabernet Sauvignon 50% - Petit Verdot 12% Vintage: 2010 Colour: Red Style: Dry Producer: Chateau d'Angludet Description:"Tasted at the UGC tasting in London. The Chateau d'Angludet 2010 has a lifted bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and black plum, with hints of soy and fresh tobacco underneath. The palate is rounded and supple on the entry, very well balanced with great purity and precision towards the finish. This is one of the most sophisticated wines from this estate that I have tasted in recent years. Bravo."90/100 Points - Neal Martin, Robertparker.comChateau Angludet is a Margaux estate with 300 years of wine-making pedigree. Owned by the famous Sichel family, Margaux property Chateau Angludet remains refreshingly uninfluenced (for now) by Bordeaux’s compulsion to invest heavily in shiny new buildings and art installations. Here the time and effort is spent in the vineyards and barrel room. 30 years ago, the estate was one of the first in the region to adopt biodynamic practices, and has seen quality accelerate in recent years. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (2%). 2010 was a great year for Bordeaux as a whole and this is reflected in an exceptional release from Angludet which is starting to hit its peak. This stock is in impeccable condition, shipped directly from the cellars of the Chateau. Gorgeous perfumed nose of cassis, dark berries cedar, hints of savoury spice and smoked meats and dash of vanilla oak. Plump, creamy palate with ripe forgiving tannins and long, complex finish. Tasting Notes:Chateau Angludet is located in the Bordeaux appellation of Margaux and their biodynamic wines enjoy a reputation for their elegance, finesse and exceptional ageing potential. The wonderful 2010 vintage is deep and complex with great concentration of dark fruits and spice. This stock has come directly from the cellars of the ch
