"Rose de Siwa" bursts at the seams with precious, natural essences of rose, the jammy, sensual quality of the Turkish Rose Absolute shining like a beacon of happiness. There are roses and roses: some are dramatic, intensely red, thick, plush affairs, some are dewy and delicate, with a green, stemmy feel, and some, like "Rose de Siwa", are both passionate and innocent. This is a head spinning combination, like a young woman dressed in demure silk frocks, yet her lips are so full, and her eyes are staring so amorously, so come-hither, that a chaste kiss on the forehead it's possibly the last thing crossing your mind. It makes us think of that famous scene in "American Beauty", where Mena Suvari's porcelain white, sinuous, lithe body is pictured naked amongst millions of red rose petals. Only that in the case of "Rose de Siwa" the colour is deep, lustrous pink.
