The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets. May take 2-3 days for full effect; many people start to experience relief of symptoms within 24 hours. Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream. Clotrimazole 500mg Pesary, 2% w/w pessary cream . Clears the cause and symptoms of thrush Fast Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream clears the cause and symptoms of thrush. A vaginal thrush infection may cause any of the following symptoms: whitish, odourless vaginal discharge, persistent burning, itching, redness, swelling and soreness of the vagina and vulva. This pack contains a pessary to treat the cause of vaginal thrush and a tube of soothing cream for relief of the itching.   Directions (Ages 16 to 60): Wash your hands before and after using the pessary and cream. Insert the soft gel pessary into the vagina preferably at night using the applicator provided and apply the cream thinly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day. If no improvement is seen after 7 days consult your doctor.   Do not use Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream but consult your doctor if this is the first time you have had symptoms of vaginal thrush.
