SKEDCO - Tactical SKED Rescue Stretcher with Cobra Buckles   The Tactical SKED was developed from field experience. It weighs about 3.5 kg, and with all accessories, it weighs only about 4.5 kg with a packed size of approximately 57 cm in length and 17 cm in width. It is available in Coyote Brown and has Cobra buckles with quick release. A strap runs over the chest, holding the patient firmly during turns. When rolled up, the Tactical SKED has a diameter of about 17 cm and a length of about 57 cm. Attached to the backpack, it fits easily through a door without the stretcher getting in the way. Made from the same durable plastic as all Skedco products, it is extremely durable in any operation. The accessories include: a pair of horizontal lifting slings, a steel carabiner to connect the ends of the slings (e.g., for lifting into a helicopter), and a tow sling for "hands-free" dragging of the stretcher. The backpack is about 61 cm long and has a diameter of about 17.8 cm. The Tactical SKED keeps the patient's body straight and secures them in the proper position. The stretcher does not bend in the middle. The curvature of the frame around the body creates an anatomical frame around the legs and torso.
