The longer the strand, the further it is from the scalp's natural sebum supply, which means the ends are often the driest, most fragile, and most prone to splitting and breaking. Pantene's Pro-V formula addresses this directly. The shampoo uses a gentle surfactant base of Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine alongside Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, which adds a light conditioning film to the hair during washing to reduce friction and tangling. Panthenol penetrates the hair shaft to improve elasticity and moisture retention, Niacinamide supports the hair fibre structure and scalp health, Histidine helps protect against oxidative damage, and Tocopheryl Acetate provides antioxidant vitamin E support throughout. The 3 Minute Miracle conditioner takes over after rinsing, using Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, a silicone that bonds directly to damaged areas of the hair, smoothing and strengthening the cuticle precisely where it is needed most.
