Bodegas Muga was founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga and his wife Aurora Cano, both of whom came from wine producing families. Bodegas Muga is located on the foot of the Montes Obarenses within the area, Rioja Alta. The combination of different continental climates here unite harmoniously, creating a suitable environment for growing grape. The facilities at Bodegas Muga are two centuries old and are made mainly of stone and oak. Oak is in fact paramount at Bodegas Muga as different types of oak barrels are used for the fermentation, maturation and storing of the wines. Today the Muga family still run Bodegas Muga, and continue to gain international recognition and acclaim for their wines. This is a very special gift for a Red wine lover. The wine box contains three bottles of Muga Reserva all set in a great all inclusive gift pack. About the Wine Muga, Reserva Type: Red Wines Region: Spain Grape Variety: Grenache/Garnacha, Tempranillo Size: 75cl Alcohol Content: 14% Food Matches: Roast beef, grilled/roast chicken, guinea fowl, hamburgers, lamb (especially with garlic or rosemary), steak, truffles (70% tempranillo, 20% garnacha and the rest mazuelo and graciano): Saturated ruby. Pungent cherry and dark berry aromas, with spice and floral nuances adding complexity. Sweet and concentrated, but with excellent cut and vivacity to its dark fruit flavors. Builds and deepens toward the back, finishing with a sappy floral quality and resonating spiciness. Offers very good richness of flavor with no excess fat.” 92 points, Stephen Tanzer
